CALT Examples: Macromedia Flash 5.0
The latest version of Macromedia Flash 5.0 is a major upgrade. The interface now is more in line with other Macromedia products (Dreamweaver, Fireworks). ActionScript has been expanded into a powerful scripting language based on JavaScript. MP3 files can now be imported. These changes and others make it possible to produce interactive animated teaching materials as the following examples will attempt to demonstrate.
In order to view and interact with these examples first try viewing one of the examples below. If you don't have the Flash 5 player installed on your browser, then (1) you will see a message that says something to the effect that you need to activate the player or (2) you will just see a blank outline with no message. For case (1) just click OK and the player will install and display the Flash example. For case (2) you will need to download the free Flash 5 player from the Macromedia site: Flash 5 Player. The Flash 5 player will display all previous versions of Flash movies.
