Database Examples
Another trend in Web page design is to engage the users interest by providing increased interactivity for the user. One of the ways this can be done is by allowing the user to interact with a database. The following examples will illustrate some of the ways databases can be used by faculty.
Example 1 In this simple example a database was first created with Microsoft Access 97 and then imported into the CALT Web site with FrontPage 2000. The database has only ten questions and answers but it could just as well have 500. Also this example has only 3 keywords but it could have as many as you want. The Web page stays the same, just the Access database expands as new questions and answers are added to it. (2/2/00)
Example 2 This example shows the use of active URLs in a database. (2/5/00)
Example 3 Data can be added to a database from the Web. (2/8/00)
