Campaign Participation

Each couple of years there is an election at the local, state or national levels.  Students with an interest in the political process (and with the expectation of possibly running for office some day) may want to test the waters by participating in a campaign.  Such participation is an excellent way of learning more about the mechanics of community outreach, fundraising, media contacts, and strategic planning.  There are usually many opportunities during an election year - in 2006 there are numerous elections taking place for Governor, County Executive, County Council, Maryland Senate and House of Delegates, Sheriff, Clerk of the Court and others. Interested students should discuss such opportunities with the CSLI director.
