Annapolis, City ofCitizen Satisfaction Survey -1999This 1999 study was based on a survey of Annapolis City residents. The government was interested in better understanding residents\' views regarding levels of satisfaction with city services, perceived gaps in services, contact frequency and satisfaction with City personnel, and ways in which the City might improve residents\' quality of life. Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Transportation StudyCSLI performed two surveys to assist this group with its planning mission. The first inquired about residents\' views and commuting patterns, focusing upon entry and exit from Annapolis. The second survey was distributed to employees in the downtown Annapolis area, asking about their parking preferences, commuting habits and flexibility towards alternative arrangements. Respondents were also asked to comment about the then current restrictions regarding multiple liquor licenses that impeded the expansion of restaurant chains. Anne Arundel County Executive\'s Office Anne Arundel County Police DepartmentICOPS Robbery Project - 1999-2000This was part of a major grant received by the County\'s Police department which was meant to assess the impact of a Police outreach effort upon local small businesses. Pre and Post surveys of targeted businesses were conducted, evaluating their robberies prevention practices. Police Accreditation Survey - 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007A continuing project consisting of a series of regularly administered surveys meant to assure the Police Department\'s accreditation. These surveys have asked residents about their general views of the department, the nature of the public\'s contacts with police employees as well as their general perceptions of crime and crime prevention efforts. Anne Arundel Public Library SystemClient Survey - 2003, 2007The library system needed a comprehensive evaluation of the interests and satisfaction of its patrons. The surveys were cooperatively designed by CSLI and the library staff; the surveys were administered by the libraries themselves. CSLI did the data analysis and final report. Anne Arundel County Public SchoolsGoals 2000 - Full Service SchoolsA 1996 survey of four low income housing projects in Annapolis/Eastport. The survey was conducted in collaboration with the Anne Arundel Planning Action Committee. It dealt with the needs of local, low income residents and whether their needs could be more effectively met through an expansion of services provided through local elementary schools. Adults in local communities were surveyed along with students at Tyler Heights and Mills-Parole elementary schools. Disruptive and Violent Students Project - 1998-1999This was a 1998 study of the Annapolis and Glen Burnie feeder systems, focusing on students with disruptive and violent behaviors. This study provided an assessment of the inventory of programs and initiatives meant to deal with such students, as well as in-depth interviews with teachers, administrators, students and parents.
A follow-up study in 1999 targeted the in-school suspension programs at three schools (Annapolis Middle, McArthur Middle, and Linwood/Brooklyn Park Middle) to help understand how in-school suspension programs were being implemented. In-school Suspension - A Comparison of Programs at Three Middle Schools - 1998-1999This was a follow-up to the 1998 inventory study conducted in 1999. This study was meant to review the implementation of \'in-school suspension\' as an alternative to \'at-home\' suspension for treating disruptive and violent student behavior. Three middle schools were evaluated using a combination of quantitative surveys of administrators and students and qualitative interviews with counselors, teachers, administrators, coordinators and student advocates. Evaluation of School-community Resource Officer Program – 2001As AACPS was rolling out its school-community resource officer program, it was concerned to understand how well the program was understood and perceived by various stakeholders like teachers, administrators, officers, counselors, students and parents. First Night, AnnapolisEconomic Impact Study - 1998This study was intended to provide some understanding of the economic impact of First Night Annapolis for the local economy. It consisted mainly of a survey of attendees (12-31-1998) which asked about demographic characteristics, spending patterns, overnight arrangements, etc. Sample findings were projected onto the estimated universe of attendees to derive estimates of aggregate economic impact.
