Student Club

Speakers

There are many individuals seeking to address students but lack a forum.  The Club would be an ideal mechanism for identifying and bringing interesting speakers to campus.  Such speakers might include politicians, business leaders, government leaders in agencies/departments, advocates for various causes, academics knowledgeable about certain topics, etc.  Students would be expected to identify and contact such speakers, help coordinate the timing and nature of the event, and try to ensure the dissemination of information about the event through the campus community.  CSLI would assist in these matters.

Speakers for spring 2006 included:

  • Sheriff George Johnson
  • Delegate and House Speaker Michael Busch
  • Delegate John Leopold

Fall speakers planned:

States Attorney - mini candidate forum

Sheriff - mini candidate forum

Other candidates as available.
